Song Qingchun could not help but sigh under her breath as she wandered aimlessly ahead while she figured out a way to get home. She was so caught up in her own trouble that she did not notice a car shoot past her with incredible speed before stopping abruptly.
Su Zhinian got down from the car and slammed the door behind him. He dashed to stand before Song Qingchun and grabbed her hand to drag her to his car without saying a word.
Song Qingchun yelped out of shock before the following sentence fell from her mouth. "Su Zhinian, what are you doing?" She did not realize she was calling him by name.
Su Zhinian ignored her, pulled open the car door with a blank expression, and practically shoved her in before slamming the door shut. Then he got in and floored pedal without even taking a glance at Song Qingchun.
The atmosphere in the car was awkward due to the lack of conservation. Song Qingchun sat quietly beside Su Zhinian, and she could feel the dangerous aura radiating off him very clearly. A few minutes ago, he just cruelly threw her out of his house, but now he dragged him back into his car… Just what was he planning?
Song Qingchun could not help herself from stealing a look at Su Zhinian through the rear-view mirror. The man's right hand was stuck in his pocket and his left hand was placed leisurely over the steering wheel. His handsome face was marked by a lack of emotion other than his tense lips that deterred conservation.
The car returned to Su Zhinian's bungalow. After putting his car out, Su Zhinian ignored Song Qingchun and got out his car and entered his home.
Su Zhinian did not lock the door. Song Qingchun had a hard time guessing his thoughts; she sat in the car for a few more seconds before deciding to follow him into the house.
Su Zhinian sat alone in the luxurious living room, flipping through a stack of white paper in his hand. Even though she tried her best to tip-toe into the house, he was still alerted by her silent footsteps. He raised his head slightly and his cold gaze locked onto her as he pointed at the sofa beside him.
Song Qingchun knew he was signaling her to sit. She walked over after briefly hesitating, but she did not dare to sit.
Su Zhinian stared at the white paper for around three minutes before retrieving a pen to sign his name on it. He then dropped it on the table before Song Qingchun.
Song Qingchun glanced at Su Zhinian before lowering her head to look at the papers. She was shocked to realize it was the same stack of document she had given Su Zhinian earlier when she begged him to be Song Empire's CEO.
In the column for signature, the name "Su Zhinian" was clearly written on it. He had signed… meaning he was willing to take over Song Empire?
Song Qingchun turned to Su Zhinian with disbelief and she asked in a shaking voice, "You… agreed?"
Su Zhinian did not answer. Song Qingchun extended her hand to reach for the document, but before her fingertip could even reach it, Su Zhinian suddenly slammed his palm on the document.
Song Qingchun raised her head again to look at Su Zhinian; confusion filled her eyes.
Su Zhinian did not hurry to answer. He merely pulled the document away as he leaned back in the sofa. Meeting Song Qingchun's confused gaze, he said slowly, "As long as I promise to take over Song Empire, you will fulfill any request I make, correct?"
He was paraphrasing what she had promised him earlier.
Song Qingchun halted for a second or two before nodding. "Yes."
