"She is Song Cheng's sister." Tang Nuo, who had been curiously silent suddenly, dropped the bomb.
"Song Cheng? The CEO of Song Empire who committed suicide by jumping off the side of a skyscraper three months ago? So, that's his sister, the Song family's daughter?"
"No wonder I feel she is so familiar, she is the reporter at TW Station, right? She anchored the news a couple of times before, what's her name already…"
"Song Qingchun…" Tang Nuo added. He took a tile, but did not take a look at it, instead he lowered his gaze and his finger rubbed the back of the mahjong tile, as if reminiscing of the past. After a while, he continued in a low voice, "Didn't you guys ask what her relationship to Su Zhinian is earlier?"
Tang Nuo flipped over his tile and spoke under his breath, "Actually they do not share any relationship… But if you really want to tie them together, Song Qingchun is probably the only woman from his birth until now that has managed to wander into Su Zhinian's world."
…
When Su Zhinian exited the room, he closed the door behind him. Without a look at Song Qingchun, he strode down the carpeted corridor of Eldorado that led deeper into the establishment.
The corridor was quiet, and Song Qingchun followed behind him. Other than the occasional cheering that drifted out of the various rooms, there was no other sound. In other word, there was not a word of conversation between the two of them.
Su Zhinian finally stopped when they reached the end of the corridor. He took out a card from his pocket, swiped it over the door panel, and walked into the now open room. He ignored Song Qingchun, who was following him.
Song Qingchun stood outside the door and saw Su Zhinian pour himself a glass of water at the counter before depositing himself at the sofa with the glass of water in his hand. She did not follow in and he did not call for her to come in. As if he had all the time in the world to waste, he just sat there, sipping his drink slowly.
Su Zhinian did not do anything else and still had not spoken a word, but Song Qingchun could feel the immense pressure emanating from him. It suffocated her heart, making it palpitate wildly. Her legs that stood at the threshold of the door were cemented to the spot and she found herself unable to move them. Every cell in her body cried for her to leave and run.
Song Qingchun stared at Su Zhinian, and after a long hesitation, she finally came to a decision and walked into the room. She closed the door and took cautious and slow step toward Su Zhinian. In contrast to her glacial steps, her heart was beating so fast; she felt like she was going to die from cardiac arrest.
She had no idea what kind of tribulations awaited her, but no matter what, be it a sea of fire or a mountain of knives, she would have to survive them.
Song Qingchun stopped at one meter away from Su Zhinian. Her palms were subconsciously gripped into fists. She looked at him and swallowed a mouthful of saliva. As she opened her mouth say, she suddenly remembered something and changed the 'Su Zhinian' that was on the tip of her tongue to "CEO Su."
Su Zhinian lowered his gaze and the water glass in his hands suddenly flew at the spot beside Song Qingchun's feet. The glass broke into glittering pieces and the cold water splashed at her feet.
Following the sound of shattering glass, Su Zhinian commented in a bone-chilling voice, "Song Qingchun, you sure have guts!"
