A few Voltars approached me, and agreed to help me. One of them said, "Anything you do to me, is nothing compared to what our own people did to us. If there is even just a shade of hope, I will do anything to help you". It seemed to me they got some wrong ideas though. I would extract some of their blood, check their bodies and so on, but no one would experiment or torture them. I replied, "You got the wrong idea guys. I'm not here to make this any more painful. I only require some of your blood, and check your condition. In other words, examine your bodies. Nothing else".

The others looked to be relieved due to my assurances. I took blood samples from all that gathered, and asked to take some blood from those very ill. They took me to some of those Voltars, where I tried to extract the blood. The problem was, it was no longer blood. It was purple in colour mostly. 'This is bad, very bad. I'm not sure I can still save these people' I thought. I tried pressure points, to slow down their blood, but this actually made things worse. I quickly unblocked their veins, and let them rest.

"This is bad. I can't slow down their blood like that. If I do, the poison acts much faster. Let me examine those samples first, I need to figure out what we are fighting with". The Voltars nodded, while I asked for some quiet and isolated area, where I could work. They allowed me to use one of the houses, that floated closer to the ground. Almost no one had the strength to jump to those houses, as the transport system was disabled.

Inside was empty, and no one would bother me either. I set up my tools, and started from the most contaminated blood I collected. I tried heating it up, freezing it and even distilling it. It took a while, but I got some results. The poison could be burned out to some degree, but that alone wouldn't cure the Voltars. This poison was so vicious, it actually multiplied even after it was burned. Almost as if it was alive.

Freezing it also helped slowing it down, but not cure it. After I distilled some blood, I received the residue, and the original form of the poison. It was a purple gas cloud. This poison could travel by airways but also by skin, as the skin seemed to absorb it. 'My antidotes will not help here. I need a new antidote, and I need it fast' I thought. I didn't feel any effects yet, but then I came up with an idea. 'Can Auras help here?' I asked myself.

I decided to test it. With my hand extended, I released my Domineering Aura. I wanted to warp the Aura around my hand, and then drop some of the contaminated blood onto it. It was potentially dangerous, but there were no other Humans who could test it here. I didn't use the purple blood, as it was the strongest, I went with the one in the middle. A few drops of the hazy blood fell onto my palm, and wiggled like a living creature. It was trying to get to my skin, but it couldn't due to my Aura. The blood wasn't intelligent by any means. Although it tried to drill into my skin, it wouldn't move elsewhere. I tried destroying the blood with the use of my Aura, and I succeeded, the blood disintegrated into nothingness.

My Aura was able to stop it and even destroy it, but that meant I would have to destroy all Voltars, in order to cure them. If I did a bit at a time, I would achieve nothing potentially. The blood would simply replicate itself, and fill the body once again. But, that didn't mean I had no methods. 'My Aura works well, but what I need is purification, not destruction' I thought.

There might've been a way to use my Aura to some extent, but I required some kind of antidote. 'Fight poison with poison' I thought. This might sound stupid, but in reality, I could destroy that poison with another more vicious poison. Adding in some medicine and perhaps some antidotes, it would be possible. 'I need herbs. With what I have on me, that's not going to be enough' I thought, and left the house.

I released my Aura, but wrapped it around my body. I wanted to check how well I could defend against the poison, while interacting with the infected Voltars. The sickest Voltars spread poison by simply breathing, my Aura picked up small amounts of poison trying to infect me as well. 'I am already infected in that case, but with my Aura, I can burn that small amount inside my body' I thought. That is what I did exactly. With my Aura being able to enter my body, I burned out any residue of that poison.

I had an urge to vomit when I did that. When I did, the blood wasn't entirely red. Some Voltars asked concerned, "Are you alright?". I held my hand up, and replied "I'm fine, I just burned away the poison inside me. I can cure this, but I need herbs. This will not be simple though. I am protected due to my Auras, but you guys don't have them, that is why you were infected so badly. Don't be mistaken either, I can't use my Aura to destroy your blood. If I did that, I would kill more than half of you".

People converged and asked together, "Then what are we going to do? Are we supposed to die, just like that?". I shook my head, and said "No. I need herbs, and there are a few Lizards outside. I will tell them to bring those herbs, while I stay here and help you guys cope with everything. For one, we need to isolate the patients. Those heavily affected breathe out this poison, and affect you guys even more. I need to move them each to a separate area, and slow down their blood".

They thought I wanted to simply isolate the worst cases, and let them die. I shook my head, and replied "No, I want to help them, and help you. The more it spreads, the worse everyone's state will be. The herbs will not arrive in a day or two, we need to preserve everyone's condition, not make it worse. I will also check with my Aura, and try to help those heavily infected. I can't destroy all their blood, but a bit of it might help them, we will have to check that. Don't get too close to each other, keep a distance especially when you speak. I'll be back in a bit, after I tell the guys outside what to bring".

But the Voltars were sceptical, one of them exclaimed, "The guards will not let you out just like that! It's a waste of time!". I replied, "Who said I will ask their permission? I can come and go to this place as I wish, no one here can stop me. Especially some guards. Wait for me, and don't do anything stupid. Keep your distance, and I will be back in a bit". I then disappeared, and headed towards the gate.

I easily bypassed the guards and arrived at the closed gate, with more guards standing there. I appeared next to them, and said "Open the gate". They were stunned, and asked where did I come from. I told them I needed a few things, and I would be back in a while. But they insisted I stay for observation. Moreover, that I should do it quickly. I didn't say anything else, and simply used my Aura, then opened the gate myself.

Of course Voltars tried stopping me, but most of them were at their Outer Limits stage, not even my opponents in the long run. In the distance, I could see Lerion's small camp. I quickly made my way there, and entered the camp. "Lerion, I need you to collect herbs from Sedon. I will give you a list. The Atols working there, should be able to provide those herbs for you. I will need quite a bit, so take your whole unit, and return as soon as you can. This is important" I said.

Lerion nodded, and gathered his troops. They moved out immediately, while I travelled back to Boltier. The guards were not happy to see me, but were even more baffled when I just went back to the infected area. Inside, I noticed that Voltars kept their distance from the severely infected people. I nodded, and began moving those people around. I placed some inside houses, some outside. Generally, I tried to place them in one area, that would act as the severely infected zone.

Those with medium severity infection, were also placed into smaller groups, and distanced themselves from the severely infected zone. While the mostly healthy Voltars stayed nearer the entrance to the whole infected area. With everything separated into proper zones, I said. "Alright, now I can take care of some things. I will go check the severely infected people first. I will try my Auras, and see if that helps them. I will also try to cool them down. If it helps, we can do the same to you guys. Maybe it can even cure those who have very light symptoms right now". They didn't protest anymore. After all I was their only hope, and I proved it by returning to the infected area.
