Arlo was heard saying, "The last thing I want to tell you is that you're impervious to magical and physical attacks, but not all of them. So relearn to fear death and don't recklessly charge into your enemies' attack in your mist form."
"I am not?" Roy gasped.
He was taken aback.
Every attack on his mist so far has failed to harm him.
But now, he was being told otherwise.
It was bound to shock him as he realized how lucky he had been to not have encountered such an attack.
"You'll experience you're not after we reach the village covered by the scent of tea," Arlo added.
Roy asked, "What is waiting for me there?"
"A person who can hit you in your mist form. I really want you two to meet." Arlo said, with a mysterious smile on his face.
Roy thought twice as he asked, "W-who is it?"
Arlo answered, "Your cousin."
Roy had an idea as to who it could be, but the thought of it being his elder cousin never crossed his mind.
Arlo had fathered three: two twins, who were six years old, and one 23-year-old son.
That son of his was Roy's elder cousin, a person he had never met or seen in his life.
Roy didn't have any memory of him, and there was no talk of his eldest cousin in the County either.
So he didn't know a thing about him.
It could be said that he was a stranger to him.
"Why are we actually going to that village?" Roy inquired.
"That's where the second part of your training will take place." Arlo satisfied his curiosity.
"Second part?" Roy's eyebrow was raised in question.
Arlo nodded, "Yes, I will teach you Limit Breaker. If you succeed, your raw strength will increase to the same level as the youngest prince before the Adulthood ceremony. But that doesn't mean you can clash with him head-on. He can manifest aura. You need something similar to be his match. That's what your cousin will help you obtain."
"That works out fine for me!" Roy exclaimed before he looked past Delilah to stare in the northern direction through the window. "It just so happens that I had been meaning to head there."
The Goblin's Grotto was there!
"Eh? Why would you want to go to that backwater village?" Arlo questioned.
In reply, Roy just smiled at him.
Seeing the look on his face, Arlo realized that it was also a secret Roy didn't want to tell him.
Just then, the door was knocked.
Arlo turned his face to the door and said heavily, "It's not locked. Invite yourself in."
The door was opened, and immediately a pleasant scent wafted into the room.
Amelia pushed a cart into the room as the smell of spices, roasted meat, and steamed rice filled the air.
Following behind her, Julian and the twins entered the room.
"Who prepared this? How could it smell so incredible?"
Smelling the different aroma almost exploded Roy's clothes and gave him an erection.
None of that happened.
However, his mouth indeed watered and his appetite surged.
He wasn't feeling hungry; he just had the desire to eat.
Amelia placed them on the table, one plate at a time; steam could be seen wafting out of them, signifying that they were freshly cooked.
She pleasantly looked at Roy. "All of this is for you to eat, master."
Roy's eyes widened.
'Am I hearing things?'
Different dishes filled the table to its edges. It was impossible for one man to finish it all.
He looked at her and then at Arlo.
Arlo beamed, "Dig in!"
"A-All of it?!"
"Yeah, this is the medicine I have prepared for you. What you're lacking is energy. You need to eat all this to restore it instantly. The meat is from an Aura Monster. The rice is full of mana and is ranked as the 3rd best rice in the Empire. All the spices used and vegetables cooked can't be obtained by commoners and people of status alike. It cost me a fortune to get this prepared for you. You better not leave behind even a grain of rice."
Roy was about to thank him again. But remembering what he had said not too long ago, he swallowed back the words at the tip of his tongue and let them roll down his throat.
Amelia cut the steak into fine pieces, which were placed on top of white steamed rice; each of its grains was sparkling like a crystal.
Knowing his preferences, she put some crunchy vegetables on top of the rice and meat.
Rice, meat, and vegetables were staked to look like a pyramid on a plate, and it was presented to Roy.
"Thanks for the food." Roy picked up the plate, brought it close to his mouth, and wolfed it down like kakarot.
『Ding! Your energy has increased by ten units.』
『+30 units of energy.』
『+70 points increase in the size of your energy bar.』
All the food going down his throat was instantly transformed into a source of energy that rested in the pit of his stomach, just waiting to be used.
Roy didn't feel his stomach becoming heavy.
『New Knowledge about the Night's Mist Ability has been discovered in the Mana Database』
『It will be copied and transferred to you.』
『The food you eat in your human form will be entirely converted into energy.』
This was the same as saying that even if Roy ate a hundred people's worth of food in a day, he wouldn't need to go to the washroom to drop a big bomb in the toilet.
Roy: "…" I didn't expect there to be such an advantage to being a soul herder.
"Gulp!"
Just then, the sound of swallowing was heard.
Roy lowered the plate and raised his head, only to see Maya gazing at him, or better yet, the food around him intensely and drooling like a toddler.
She was lusting after the food meant for him.
