"The Yama's Contractor said he was a hard target to take out. Thus, we two teamed up for this job. But it looks like such preparation weren't necessary. There's nothing special about him. He's just like any other teenager, horny as fuck. His hormones are raging. Lust has taken over him. And although he is a noble, he lacks self-constraint and is willing to enter a hole used by many on a daily basis. Tch! I feel sorry for the valiant count. I will do him a favor and get red of this brat for him." Roy disappointed Xavier so much that he clicked his tongue in disdain.

Cruelty flickered in Trent's eyes as he gazed at Roy's unguarded back.

"This work in our favor. To get there from this side of the County, you need to pass through an abandoned construction site. At this time of the day, there won't be anyone there. That's where we will strike him dead." After speaking, his body blurred out of existence. "You know the drill. Wait for my orders to assassinate him. I'll go ahead and gauge him out."

Leaving these words behind for Xavier, Trent chased after Roy like a wolf.

He didn't use any magic or rune stone to achieve that level of invisibility. He used the power of his soul stone, which was Erecting a barrier that could bend light, to reflect the light coming his way. As a result, he couldn't be seen, and he had no shadow either. He could only create one such barrier at a time. Its size depended on his needs. But the bigger it is, the more exhausted he would feel.

"Babies, fucking rich daddy is coming for you!" Roy showed his eagerness to embrace fiery whores left and right by running in the direction of the brothel like a young master.

He reached the abandoned site in minutes and was just about to pass through a door-like opening when the sixth sense on the back of his head tingled. Like always, It made him feel uncomfortable, but it was this very feeling that made him jump to the right side to evade death.

"Whoosh!"

The spot where he just stood a moment ago was stabbed by a blade that lacked a hilt but had a nice curve. It dematerialized into specks that vanished immediately. The only proof of its existence was the deep cut it left on the ground.

'The assassin has revealed itself!' Roy thought in mid-air. He stomped his foot so hard that it was planted in the ground. As a result, his jump was forced to come to a halt mid-way.

Then… he whipped his body around.

A man dressed in a cape with a hood that hid half his face was reflected in his eyes.

Only his sharp chin, which had rough stubbles, could be seen.

Instantly, he inspected the assassin.

『Ding! You gained Trent's status screen and Character screen』

His stats were in the sixties, and he was an advanced-level weapon master.

Roy's stats were similar to the assassin's because he was equipped with stats-boosting titles and items.

"Eh? That should be enough to take out a trainee. It's a surprise to see you survive that." Trent said, slightly shocked.

Roy smirked, "It was so painfully obvious that I could see it coming from a mile away. If I hadn't dodged it, I would be too ashamed to call myself a human."

Hearing his words, Disbelief wrote over Trent's earlier calm. "You were aware of my presence?"

The only answer he got was a suspicious smile.

Immediately, Trent crossed his fingers. This action was necessary for him to erect a barrier around the construction site. Roy felt a great disturbance in the surrounding mana as ripples could be seen spreading from the ground up.

Immediately, darkness descended on the abandoned site where the light was once plenty.

The only source of light left was the rusty lamps that were flickering occasionally.

This place looked like something straight out of a horror movie.

"What did you do?" Roy's brow raised at the change in his surroundings.

If one were to look from outside the barrier, one would realize that the abandoned site has magically disappeared. Actually, it was just hidden from their sight by his ability. But of course, he wasn't going to tell Roy that.

"Guess in hell!" Trent exclaimed and raised his hand as dozens of hiltless blades bloomed behind him like a peacock spreading its feathers; it was an enchanting and mesmerizing scene but equally deadly.

His finger stretched out to point at Roy, and just then, the blades shot out from behind him and charged toward Roy like rockets launched from a launcher.

"Whoosh!" They rained down on Roy.

He raised his head rather lazily, looking at them.

Seeing them falling towards him in a straight line, he smiled leisurely.

The blades were just three seconds meters away from impaling Roy when he put his hand out in their direction and activated a soul spell.

『Subspace has opened!』

A crack appeared in the space between Roy and the blades, and in the split of a second, it opened up to the size of a 2-meter tall and a meter wide black hole.

"Flick!" The lights went out, and absolute darkness replaced the scene.

When the lights came up again, Trent saw a 6-meter tall black hole and felt it was the entrance to hell!!!

What happened next caused Trent's eyes to widen to the size of saucers.

"I-impossible!"

All the blades vanished into it.

"Flick!" The lights went out again.

And... when this site was illuminated again, the black hole was nowhere to be found

Trent looked around for it but only found a smiling Roy.

His ultimate, his strongest move was swallowed by a mysterious entity, and thus, he felt troubled, and droplets oozed out of his head.

It was cold enough to breathe out a mist, yet he was sweating enough to become like a drenched dog.

Trent looked at Roy in alarm. "What sorcery is that? How did you make them disappear?"

"Oh, you want to… know?" Roy hooked up his lips and directed his murderous gaze on him, "I'll gladly show it to you!"

『Subspace has opened up!』
