Chapter 5119: Stone Axe

In the endless expanse of the starry sky, Jian Wushuang sat cross-legged on a desolate star, where he felt no passage of time.

Perhaps it had been countless billions of years, or maybe it was just a fleeting moment.

“Sigh, I wonder what’s happening in the outside world. Perhaps I have already perished!”

Trapped within his own cage, Jian Wushuang furrowed his brow. In this silent expanse of stars, he exhausted every method but couldn’t break free.

Yet he discovered that within this starry space, he was invincible.

Guided by the threads of karma, he could even sense that the Great Si Region was also within this starry expanse.

It was just incredibly distant. He flew and traversed for an unknown length of time but couldn’t find any Celestial Realm. He could only follow the guidance of karma and continue on.

It wasn’t until this star came to a stop that he realized, no matter how much he flew, he couldn’t leave this starry space.

Cross-legged on this star for an unknown duration, it was only then that he noticed signs of life.

“Hey! Haha!”

A colossal giant, thousands of feet tall, ran on the surface of the earth. The originally desolate and chaotic star, under the influence of this giant, gradually became clear and revealed its original appearance.

Sitting cross-legged on a mountaintop, Jian Wushuang found all of this quite novel. He had flown for who knew how long without encountering any Celestial Realms or planets with life. Yet, this star-born giant was the first sign of life.

The life of this giant, with a body spanning thousands of feet, was a unique and special existence in the heavens and earth. His entire body had been bestowed by this star, and he possessed extraordinary talents. In just a few thousand years, he had already reached the Supreme cultivation realm.

However, despite his formidable realm and physical strength, his understanding of the Dao was not even comparable to that of an ordinary junior cultivator.

The turbidity between heaven and earth was dispelled, and the giant also noticed Jian Wushuang’s presence. He roared and threw a punch towards Jian Wushuang.

Jian Wushuang, who had long surpassed the limits of Yan Immortal, merely glanced at him and paid him no further attention.

The massive fist shadows descended upon him, but before they could reach

Jian Wushuang, they vanished, and the giant retreated thousands of feet away. However, he remained fearless, charging forward with unwavering determination.

For several years, these two figures confronted each other. The giant, realizing he couldn’t overcome Jian Wushuang, turned and walked toward the towering forest.

Jian Wushuang felt a hint of disappointment in his eyes but then closed them once again. He was contemplating the Bodhi Heartwood, a short piece of wood that had flown from his brow since he entered this place.

The inscriptions on the short piece of wood remained enigmatic to him, their origin a mystery. Yet, out of curiosity, he had continuously held it, either contemplating the inscriptions or calming his restless heart.

Otherwise, the boundless sense of loneliness would have driven him insane long ago.

Within the towering forest, the giant wielded a stone axe, grinning broadly. This treasure had come into existence with the birth of the universe, emerging from the chaos. However, the giant had forgotten about it in the forest while wielding it to chop down giant trees.

After many years, he finally remembered the handy axe and returned to the forest to search for it. Now that he had it in hand again, he decided to cause trouble for Jian Wushuang.

Boom! Boom!

The giant’s footsteps echoed like thunder, shaking the earth beneath him. Jian Wushuang, seated atop a mountain peak, raised an intrigued eyebrow and said,

“Big guy, you dare to come back!”

The giant, shirtless and partially covered in tree bark, had decided to wrap himself in tree bark after seeing Jian Wushuang wearing clothes the last time.

“Not bad, you learn quite fast,” Jian Wushuang commented, glancing at the tree bark on the giant’s body.

The towering giant grew somewhat annoyed, lifted his axe, and swung it toward Jian Wushuang. However, the massive axe slid off Jian Wushuang’s brow without making contact. He had cultivated his strength nearly to the limit of Ascendant Divinity, far beyond what this recently birthed, unique life form, the giant, could match.

Furthermore, the giant had no teacher to guide him; each move he made was extremely clumsy.

Smack!

This time, Jian Wushuang did not dodge. He caught the giant’s axe with one hand and then exerted a sudden force. The tremendous impact traveled through the axe head and into the handle.

Thud!

The handle shattered, and it sent the giant staggering back thousands of feet.

Splurt!

A mouthful of golden blood sprayed from the giant’s mouth. He wiped his mouth and stood up again.

Holding the enormous axe, Jian Wushuang casually tossed it back to the giant.

As he looked at the axe now lying at his feet, the giant’s expression flickered.

This axe had been with him since birth, but now it was covered in countless cracks, resembling secret runes.

The giant carefully lowered his body, his disheveled hair hanging down, with a few leaves still stuck to it.

After picking up the axe, he glared at Jian Wushuang, let out a roar, and then headed towards the towering forest.

Jian Wushuang scratched his head and muttered to himself, “Is he angry?”

After the giant left this time, he never came to find Jian Wushuang again. Instead, he learned from Jian Wushuang’s example and practiced alone in the forest.

And who knows how manv vears passed, an endless murkv Qi descended upon the earth, shrouding the entire land in darkness once more.

But for Jian Wushuang, this murky Qi was insignificant. However, in all these years, he still couldn’t break free from his own constraints. There were even a few times when he wanted to leave, but the deathly silence around him made him hesitate.

This star was alive, and even though the giant no longer paid him any attention, at least there was a living presence nearby.

“This big guy is really stingy, isn’t he? He hasn’t come to see me.”

Jian Wushuang played with the short piece of wood in his hand. This time, he decided to take the initiative and visit the towering forest to see what the big guy was up to!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sound of explosions echoed from the forest as the giant swung his arms to disperse the surrounding murky Qi. Unfortunately, his axe was damaged, or else he could have easily dispersed the murky Qi with it.

Standing on a tree branch, Jian Wushuang watched this scene with a faint smile. With a casual gesture, he summoned the axe.

The giant was frantically dispelling the murky Qi and didn’t notice that Jian Wushuang had already taken his axe.

Jian Wushuang reduced the size of the axe, and with a thought, he repaired the cracks one by one. However, many new patterns appeared on the once smooth surface.

The axe was repaired, but the handle was completely shattered, making it difficult to restore.

Now he had nothing on him, and he didn’t know what to find to replace it.

With no clear plan in mind, Jian Wushuang was thinking about secretly visiting other planets or Celestial Realms to see if he could find some treasures to help restore the axe. After all, it was a treasure nurtured by a primordial star, so restoration might be challenging, but repair shouldn’t be a problem.

Just as Jian Wushuang was about to leave, the piece of Bodhi Heartwood he held in his other hand began to tremble slightly, and it unexpectedly merged with the axe..
