It seemed Fu Sichen had been actively posting on Weibo more often.

It was just that the latest picture he posted was of the cat, like the previous ones, and it caused the fans a little disappointment.

The picture was a candid and casual one.

The white Persian cat was lying in the blanket, just like a human, with both his paws placed outside of it. He was at rest, with his eyes closed. The warm yellow lighting gently illuminated the cat—the cuteness was completely oozing out of the scene!

The picture of the cat earned more than a few shrieks, and Best Actor Fu’s strong statement similarly got people imagining things.

“Only has a Dad? What does that mean? Was that a hint of some previous owner?”

“Some actress is really… tsk tsk, bullying my sweetheart into posting more pictures.”

“I say. Why would my idol need a pre-owned cat? He’s wealthy, and it’s not as if he cannot afford a Persian cat?”

“Do you notice something wrong about Pei Pei. Am I the only one who noticed the swelling on his head?”

The sharp-eyed netizens spotted and circled the top of the Persian cat’s head. More and more people began to sympathize, and in turn, they scolded Lin Yousu.

It was bad enough to take advantage of Fu Sichen and ride on his popularity, worse still to take advantage when the cat was injured!

Of course, the Netizens’ sense of logic could be questionable. But trying to reason with moronic fans was an impossible thing to do.

Hence, Lin Yousu’s not-quite-there and misleading scandal died without having seen the light of day.

“What the hell!” There was a sudden deluge of angry remarks on Weibo, and it was all in defense of a cat. It caused Lin Yousu to panic. “What is wrong with Fu Sichen! He never issued any statements or responded to scandals about himself in the past!”

Lin Yousu’s chest was aching from anger, even more so because she was the Persian cat’s ex-owner. And that was a fact!

“This Fu Sichen…” Lin Yousu’s manager was stunned too. “How could he do this?”

The remark “He only has a Dad” was a clear drawing of lines between him and Lin Yousu where the cat was concerned. Since the cat only had a Dad, there was nothing to fuel a scandal of a relationship between the two.

Lin Yousu was so furious that she refused to look at Weibo again.

There was no way to clarify the matter at that point. The more she said, the worse the situation would become.

“Yousu, don’t be angry.” Being opportunistic about this situation was all her idea, and it had backfired. Her manager felt awkward and quickly tried to console her. “Fame achieved unethically is still fame… also, I heard a piece of news.”

“What?” Lin Yousu glowered.

“Fu Sichen is going to take part in the variety show ‘War of the Pets’. I think you should take part too.”

It was best to strike while the iron was hot. Now that she had gained some fame, albeit somewhat unethically, perhaps it was time to stir things up and go all the way!

Lin Yousu considered her manager’s words and found his proposal logical. She quickly instructed her manager to contact the programme team.

If she really were to make it into the programme, then during the programme she would definitely be able to prove that she was the ex-owner of Fu Sichen’s cat!

But having said that, because Pei Zhen was angry with Fu Sichen, he was ignoring everyone else as well.

The moment Fu Sichen came near, he would shut his eyes and play dead.

“Pei Pei?” Fu Sichen looked at the Persian cat after he had posted on his Weibo account. He raised his sword-like eyebrow. “You kicked over the lamp?”

This cat was getting quite a temper.

When he saw Fu Sichen kissing Pei Zhen at the hospital, his meowing was especially fierce, as though it had pushed his fury to the limit.

“What are you angry at.” Fu Sichen grabbed the cat by force when he refused to get up. “Me kissing your daddy is most reasonable.”
