It was rare for Chen Sinan to end work early. He waited half an hour downstairs for Xin Siyue, but he still didn’t spot her getting off from work. He gave her a call, only to realize that she had blocked him and had not removed him from her blacklist.

Helplessly, he could only call Assistant Wang and have him contact her. “Call her and tell her that I am waiting for her downstairs.”

Assistant Wang almost blurted out ‘who is she?’ when he heard ‘TV Station’ and he hurriedly answered, “President Chen, please wait momentarily. I’m calling her now.”

“Ok.”

Xin Siyue wasn’t done talking to the Director when she heard the phone ringing. It was an unfamiliar number which stopped ringing for a few seconds before resuming again.

Xin Siyue had no choice but to stop the discussion and pick up the call, only to notice it was an unfamiliar man’s voice. “Hello Miss Xin, President Chen wants me to tell you that he’s waiting for you downstairs at the TV Station.”

“Hm? What?” Xin Siyue scrunched her eyebrows. Without thinking, she said, “Can you tell him that I will be recording a program tonight and for him to quickly leave?”

Assistant Wang responded calmly, “Miss Xin, sorry. How about you call President Chen and personally tell him this? Thank you, goodbye.”

Xin Siyue was irritated when he hung up on herl.

What was Chen Sinan doing?! There was already a lot of gossip circulating about them, and now that he appeared downstairs, what would her colleagues think of her?

Xin Siyue fixed the last issue with the Director absent-mindedly and hesitated a bit before taking out her phone to call him.

Once Chen Sinan saw her call, he faintly raised the tip of his eyebrows. He knew that sooner or later, she would take his phone number out the blacklist. For now, he will be generous and temporarily won’t argue about this with her, but in the future, he will slowly settle accounts with her.

He said gently, “When do you get off work? I’ll bring you for food.”

“I don’t have time. Chen Sinan, can you not add onto the inconvenience by appearing where I work? If you have something to say, we can talk about it when we’re home.”

“I just want to eat with you.”

“Well, thank you.”

Chen Sinan didn’t rush her. He said in an upset voice, “Since you’re so busy and don’t have time to eat with me, then I’ll just order takeout and bring it upstairs for you. After all, you need to eat dinner. You should have time to eat food.”

“You…” Xin Siyue’s head was hurting. “I ate some simple food so I’m full now.”

“Then I’ll wait for you to get off work.”

“Chen Sinan? Can you be more mature? I’m really disturbed by your actions.”

“You’re disturbed because you won’t let yourself enjoy this process.”

“Heh.” Xin Siyue thought this was funny and said, “If you want me to enjoy the process, the precondition is that it has to be someone I like. I think I can forget about it if it’s you.”

“You’re always like this.” Chen Sinan’s magnetic voice penetrated through the phone. “You never place your guard against me down, so how could you possibly be moved by me? Siyue, you have something against me. This indescribable prejudice is unfair to me.”

Chen Sinan’s complaint made Xin Siyue stunned. When she was shocked, he didn’t continue this topic but said, “Work properly.”

Xin Siyue stared at the phone, unable to guess his thoughts.

But because of Chen Sinan’s seemingly accidental words, she suddenly realized that he was right.

She always held a prejudice against Chen Sinan and this originated from the original book’s tragic ending. Her impression of him was engraved in her mind before she crossed over. The female side lead’s family was ruined, destroyed, and ultimately died violent deaths because of his ruthless and merciless methods.

Yet, she neglected the most important thing–she was herself, not the Xin Siyue from the original book.

She never did anything that led to misunderstandings or disturbed Chen Sinan in any way. She didn’t do anything to hurt Sheng Wenyang either, and Chen Sinan wasn’t with Sheng Wenyang yet.

Ever since she crossed over, all the things that happened completely changed. For example, her work, like this place. The book never mentioned ‘A City’ and how the male and female leads never went to A City before. Yet, they were settled here…

A lot of things aren’t developing in the way of the original plot.

Xin Siyue couldn’t help but mockingly laugh at herself. She cared only for her business in the past and never thought much. As it turned out, she’s the stupid one this whole time.

She now pondered Chen Sinan’s words of how she held prejudice against him.

It seemed to be the case. After all, ever since she crossed over, she never treated and viewed him fairly before.

He didn’t do anything overly excessive to her. Chen Sinan was an outstanding and considerate person. If she stopped holding prejudice against him, would she stop pushing him away?

Xin Siyue laughed and shook her head. She didn’t want to continue her thoughts.

Once she was done with the work at night, she arrived at the parking lot. Right when she was about to take out the car keys from her bag to unlock the car, she heard a clear honk from the car behind.

Xin Siyue looked with suspicion at the black car but then decided to ignore it. She was about to open her car door and get in when the black car honked again.
