Chapter 1411: Trade with Your Horse

Jin Ling’er was even more aggrieved. She had a violent temper since she was a child, and would attack those who were rich and powerful directly. When she first met Du Zheng, she was also very fierce to him, but now that she had him in her heart, she worked hard to restrain her nature and tolerate everything.

She swallowed the curse words that were about to come out of her mouth and bit her lips.

Du Zheng didn’t find anything wrong with her, and took her to Xia Yingluo. “Give up your white horse to Ms. Jin.”

Xia Yingluo was snatching the sour plum soup from her brother. To be exact, she already drank two sour plum soups alone, while Li Shaohui sat lazily on a bamboo chair watching her with a smile. The two Li brothers were notorious for doting on their sister, and thus, Xia Yingluo had an arrogant temper. She now looked at Du Zheng and smiled. “Why should I let you?”

“When did you like to ride a tame horse?” Du Zheng pierced her with his words.

Don’t think that he didn’t know about this little girl. She learned horse-riding from her parents and was a master at it. However, she still refused to ride the strongest horse and specifically asked for the tame horse. Wasn’t she asking for him to come here and speak up?

Xia Yingluo was not embarrassed for having been seen through, though. Her pair of beautiful eyes with glittering eyeshadow narrowed and she smiled like a little fox. “What’s wrong? I just want to ride the white horse today. Brother Du Zheng, do you want it? Okay, then trade it with me.”

Du Zheng calmly said, “With what?”

Xia Yingluo thought for a long time. “I remember you raised a horse in this club? It’s called Lang Ya or something… I heard that it’s an extraordinary god. Since you snatched my horse, you might as well let me ride it.”

The veins on Du Zheng’s forehead jumped. He knew that this little girl was not easy to please!

Everyone in the club knew that Lang Ya was his treasure, and he never let anyone ride it. This girl clearly calculated it beforehand!

“What if I say no?” Du Zheng’s voice was cold.

Xia Yingluo smiled again, with an innocent look on her face. “I won’t force you, then I’ll just ride this white horse.”

Du Zheng stared at her. “Ms. Jin is your friend. You know she can’t get on strong horses.”

“I know,” Xia Yingluo said with a smile. “The problem is… Brother Du Zheng, you seem to know that as well. I don’t remember mentioning that Ling’er couldn’t ride horses.”

The veins on Du Zheng’s forehead jumped again. Why couldn’t this little girl be well-disciplined by Li Lei? She was lawless!

Jin Ling’er also looked at him in surprise, and suddenly remembered that she was once asked by the director to shoot a horse-riding scene. She said that she could not ride a horse, so the director changed her to another role. The horse-riding scene had been a small insignificant role, so she didn’t expect Du Zheng to remember it.

Tenderness sprung in her heart, and suddenly, she wasn’t so angry at Du Zheng for being cold to her.

Xia Yingluo continued to pout. “Why, Brother Du Zheng, you should think carefully. If you don’t change the horse, Ling’er can only ride a fierce horse.”

Du Zheng strongly resisted the urge to throw the little girl down the mountain. He glanced at the lazy Li Shaohui. “You’re letting your sister be so arrogant?”

Li Shaohui laughed harmlessly. “My sister has this temper, how could I control her? If I dare to do anything to her, do you believe I would only be beaten by her? My parents dote on her so much and are so biased. I’m miserable.”

He also showed a wounded look.

Now Du Zheng wanted to throw both siblings down the mountain.

Since Li Shaohui was unwilling to help him, he had to save himself and looked at Xia Yingluo coldly. “If you don’t want to change, Ms. Jin won’t ride today.” Who stipulated they must all ride?

Unexpectedly, Xia Yingluo’s eyes lightened, and she laughed even more slyly. “Who are you to Ling’er to decide for her?”

Du Zheng was speechless.

Unconsciously, he looked at Jin Ling’er, but unexpectedly Jin Ling’er also looked up at him. The eyes of the two met awkwardly and they quickly looked away. “Ms. Jin.” After a brief silence, he said to Jin Ling’er, “It’s too dangerous for you to ride a fierce horse. Don’t do it.”

As soon as Jin Ling’er wanted to agree, Xia Yingluo intervened. “Why wouldn’t she ride now that she’s here? Ling’er told me on the road that she doesn’t know how it feels like to ride a horse, so she must try it today. Brother Du Zheng, since you’re not anyone to her, you shouldn’t care too much.”

Du Zheng’s expression froze. “You’re joking around with her life!”

“How is it that serious?” Jin Ling’er responded. She and Xia Yingluo were good girlfriends. Since Xia Yingluo encouraged her to ride a horse, it must be of interest to her and she just needed to cooperate well.

Du Zheng’s expression was very unpleasant. “Do you want to die?”

Jin Ling’er raised her head and smiled ignorantly. “I just want to try.”

Du Zheng took a deep breath after another and tried hard to control himself from getting angry. Li Shaohui on the side looked at him with interest. “I think you should just exchange your Lang Ya with Yingluo. She has been thinking of your horse for a long time.”

“Okay,” Finally, Du Yan said.

Xia Yingluo smiled and clapped her hands. “I knew Brother Du Zheng was the most generous!”

Her pair of beautiful eyes looked at Jin Ling’er and she told her, “You don’t know yet, Ling’er, but that Lang Ya is of pure blood. It was a gift from Brother Du Zheng’s father when he was alive. He treats it like a treasure and never lets others touch it. If it weren’t because of you…”

“Stop.” Du Zheng’s face was so heavy that he could drip water.

Xia Yingluo smiled and stopped talking.

On the contrary, Jin Ling’er was flabbergasted. She didn’t expect that horse to have such a history, was she being too much? “Then… I won’t ride a horse,” she said, looking at Du Zheng. “You don’t have to give away such an important thing for me.”

Du Zheng frowned at her. Logically, he should be happy if she said she wouldn’t ride, but why did the uncomfortable feeling inside grow stronger? Did she mean that she didn’t think she was more important than a horse?

“Just ride.” His voice was cold and unquestionable.

Jin Ling’er still wanted to say something, but Xia Yingluo suddenly got up. “Okay, okay, don’t let it go like this, you’re making me look like the bad guy. I suddenly don’t want to ride that white horse anymore, just give it to Ling’er. Brother Du Zheng, I don’t want your Lang Ya either. I will go and pick a new horse and won’t disturb you two.”

Then, she smiled at the two and ran away happily.

Li Shaohui also got up lazily. “I’ll go and watch over her.”

Du Zheng and Jin Ling’er were left alone. They looked at each other in the small gazebo.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward.

Then, Du Zheng broke the silence first. “Let’s go, I’ll take you to fetch the horse.”
