Kang Min-hyuk had heard about the emergency response system during class.

"What is an emergency response system? When a 'gate' is created near the Royal Magic Academy, all students are mobilized to respond to it."

In a world that chose to coexist with monsters by building a barrier, the gate's appearance destroyed the peaceful atmosphere on the border between Russia and Europe. Coexistence was virtually impossible now because of the monsters appearing over the barrier through the gate. Each region had its own response system, and the Royal Academy of Magic was no different.

The Royal Magic Academy, perched on a massive landmass, had its own protective system.

"Firstly, in the case of 'Green Dragon', if a monster attacks the Royal Magic Academy, students must go to the designated location and block the monster's attack. The main priority is to deal with the monsters rising above the walls, and to protect the Royal Magic Academy rather than annihilating the enemy."

It was the true meaning of Suseongjeon.

The Royal Academy of Magic is a fortress. A huge outer wall surrounds it, so the academy's inside is safe as long as the outer wall does not collapse. Green Dragon is a response system that protects this outer wall. The Green Dragon system was the most well-rehearsed of all defensive responses.

"Secondly, 'Gold Dragon' announces the appearance of flying monsters. If a flying monster appears, the outer wall's existence becomes meaningless, so the anti-air boundary is enforced. Thirdly, 'Black Dragon' refers not to an attack on the Royal Magic Academy but also to its surrounding area. It requires a minimum of Mercury troops and organizes support troops to help people destroy the monsters until the gate is gone."

The final situation - the last bastion that had not yet been activated was the Red Dragon. "The fourth 'Red Dragon' means the final fight. When the outer wall collapses, and the monsters enter the academy, the students risk their lives and fight. A retreat is unacceptable. The Royal Academy of Magic is a symbol of England, and keeping it protected is an obligation we, as British citizens, must strive for to the end. Remember: Peace is over, Red Dragon means War, and we must be prepared for its arrival."

Fortunately, it was only a Green Dragon that had been alerted this time. Kang Min-hyuk quickly followed his classmates to the designated muster-point. He wasn't sure where the designated location might be, but he knew that classes stood together.

First of all, they required an arsenal. People of the academy, who were preparing in advance, gave out weapons to the students. The weapon was a staff reserved specifically for Mercury.

The weapon was large and heavy, so it wasn't easy to use while moving, but it was the right choice for a Green Dragon situation. The students who had received the staff moved to their seats, whining beneath the weight. Kang Min-hyuk also received a staff, and when he went out of the building, his vision was clear.

"Attack!"

"Inferno!"

Kwakwakwang!

Rumble!

The battlefield's scents and sounds filled Kang Min-hyuk's senses and triggered the warrior in him. An intense scene unfolded before his eyes.

* * *

Above the high walls was a pitch-black gate. Its size was incomparable to what he'd experienced in the joint class, and it constantly spewed out a tremendous amount of magical power. Monsters pooled ceaselessly through it - they were B-class werewolves.

Crumble.

Kyaak!

Werewolves rushed forwards in immense hordes. At first glance, there were hundreds of them, and as soon as they reached the wall, they used their explosive jumping power to stick to it, scaling it swiftly with their sharp claws. The sight of black figures pushing through in dense packs caused goosebumps.

The wizards positioned on the walls cast magic together.

"Inferno."

"Fire Wall."

"Flame."

Rumble.

Crimson flames burnt with intense heat, and at the same time, a bright light arose from the bottom of the wall.

"The flame amplification magic circle is activated!"

Yelled the wizard located at the command tower. The magic absorbed the red mana, and the power of the fourth circle fire magic was immediately amplified. There was a ferocious explosion! B-Class Werewolves can only be damaged by fifth circle magic, but the combination of the magic circle's buff and advanced magic burned their skins black.

Ahhhhhh!

Werewolves shrieked and crashed to the floor, as their writhing bodies were torn apart beyond recognition, but the Werewolves didn't care about the state of their people. There were so many of them. New Werewolves clung to the walls of the city by stepping on the corpses of their own people, and the crisis had not ended; Min-hyuk tightened his breath.

"The intensity of this gate is...'

It was baffling. It had just been created, and already it had vomited hundreds of werewolves - the consequences of it could be disastrous. Even Kang Min-hyuk, the successor of Suhomun, had never experienced such a catastrophic gate. Still, the Royal Magic Academy students never showed signs of fluster, even in an urgent situation. No immaturity could be found in their unscrupulous movements and well-thought-out tactics.

"Fire Wave."

"Fire burst."

"Fire Lance."

Wow!

Quaang!

Kang Min-hyuk's classmates conjured their spells calmly, preventing the werewolves from ascending too high up the wall. It all seemed alien to Kang Min-hyuk, reaffirming how different Klinssman's world was from his own. Klinssman's was a world that had been threatened by monsters for 2000 years. The difficulty of the gate was also more advanced than his own.

The world in which Kang Min-hyuk was under threat of attack, but Klinssman's world was a land of death, named 'Monster Land,' which started in Korea and Russia. There, a huge number of monsters periodically attack the European wall and attack through the gate. As the potential of magic progressed, the monsters also became more threatening.

Rumble.

The walls shook.

Like demons creeping out of the abyss, flaming werewolves climbed up the walls, emitting an air of pure evil. As dirty claws pierced the wall, a clear voice rang out:

"Fire Storm!"

The appearance of the archmage turned the atmosphere.

* * *

Kang Min-hyuk had never even heard of a firestorm before and didn't know how many circles of magic it required or what power it possessed, but to be sure, the moment the Fire Storm emerged, the fire of hell burned the whole world.

Hui in g.

Rumble!

Flames licked higher and hotter with the help of strong winds. A storm of flames engulfed dozens of Werewolves at once. The Werewolf's hard and tough skin couldn't save them at that time. The outer skin burned beyond recognition, and the Werewolf, swept in by a storm, floated high in the air, fell to the floor, and the body shattered against the ground.

"That is Vin Rose."

"You are finally here."

He was one of the proud archmages of the Royal Academy of Magic. He reached the level of the 7th circle and once again used the 7th Circle magic to see if it could overpower the firestorm.

"Earthquake."

Bbbrrrrrrrr.

Kaboom!

The ground cracked and swallowed up the Werewolves, and the jagged rocks protruding from the floor tore through the Werewolf's flesh. Just two magics. Hundreds of Werewolves were slaughtered by the magic Vin Rose used. Werewolves on the ground had no sanctuary.

Kang Min-hyuk watched the archmage, enchanted. He'd never witnessed seventh circle magic before. He knew that the 2000-year-old magic civilization had touched on a new level of magic, but the power of the archmage was enough to astound Kang Min-hyuk. If there were such powerful magic in the world in which he lives, the wizard would never have been treated as a secondary player.

There was nothing that Kang Min-hyuk could do...Klinssman was still working from the first circle, so Kang Min-hyuk had to take a step back. The archmage's appearance seemed to have the capacity to end the battle then and there, but a sharp sound broke through the atmosphere and rang through everybody's ears.

Kyaah!

Aa-whooo!

"Damn!"

"No way!"

Students were confused. A werewolf of colossal stature appeared; its claws were the size of a man's forearm, and a thick, shaggy mane framed its terrible face. It was a monster of epic proportions. It had to be their King. At the sight of him, the other werewolves tipped their heads back and pushed guttural howls from the back of their filthy throats:

"Aaawhooooo!! I

Aaaawhhoooo!!"

The cry resounded through the academy. The situation was reversed.

The arrival of their leader made the Werewolves stronger. Due to the rod's unique characteristics, some Werewolves were upgraded to Grade A, and they rushed to the wall. Their power changes the game of the battlefield.

"Fire Cannon."

Quaang!

The magic didn't work.

Class A Werewolves flew, dodging the blow, and unlike Class B, they climbed the wall at a fast pace. The magic continued to burst. The wizards on the walls used magic promptly to refrain from giving the Werewolves a gap, but that alone could not conquer all A-class Werewolves. The situation became critical; even in the area where Kang Min-hyuk was located, a Werewolf was almost on the verge of climbing the wall.

'I have to fight too.'

The staff felt heavy in his hand. He couldn't fight effectively with such a weapon, and to battle, a werewolf in a body with only one circle would be suicidal. Instead, he discovered a sword, displayed as an ornament, and pulled it into his grasp.

Kyaah ahhh!

A class A Werewolf began to clamber up the wall.
